weekend in rexburg and kites

We went up to Rexburg for a couple days and had a good time.

Graham wasn't feeling very well, so he was very mellow and asleep for most of our time there.

Avery and her Great Grandma were watching someone outside.

While I set up a time to fly kites with Matt, poor Graham slept, still not feeling well.

My kids really like Matt, but they also really like Matt's bike. They often talk about how cool motorcycles are, and Graham will tell me (usually when we see a motorcycle on the street) how he wishes his dad would drive a motorcycle really fast.

Our kite-flying experience that day was, well, a very windy one.

And we (or Shad and Matt rather) weren't flying just your small, single-string kites...

These were the big kites that you can "steer" in the air. When it gets too windy, these kites will lift you right up off the ground. I think Shad and Matt got pulled around pretty good.

But after a little while, we determined it was much too cold and much too windy to be much fun.

So we headed over to Matt's place.

And the kids had a ball with the big ol' LoveSac

We had a great time, and enjoyed a beautiful sunset during our drive home.

We had a great time with Shad's family and Matt. Good old Rexburg.
