making our own fun

When it's cold outside, which is often, the kids get creative in finding ways to entertain themselves.

They made this fort using our kitchen chairs while I was mopping the kitchen floor.

More often than I can count, they spread blankets or pillows all across the floor to walk on.

Cleaning them up does not happen as often.

Lindy is commonly a form of entertainment.

For a Family Home Evening activity one night, the kids acted out the story of The Three Little Pigs.

Shad was the wolf.  I was the videographer/photographer.

And Drake never ceases to come up with some sort of activity.  This particular one was a "carnival" in his bedroom.

There was a math game with pennies.

A toss the ball in the bowl game.

And another tossing game.  Fortunately, this carnival was free.

More often than not, our children charge us money to participate in their games.  Lucky for us, it's still pretty cheap.

lindy keeps growing

She's already growing up too fast.  This is just a whole bunch of pictures of Lindy.

The End.

sweet stuff

There is a local candy shop that sells novelty candy and ice cream.  It brought me back to my own childhood with candies like the little colored dots on paper and the rock crystal candy sticks.

It took the kids a while to pick out one item each.  Too many decisions.

But in the end, they were very happy with their choices.

Hooray for candy.

fun avery

This little girl loves life.

She's happy 95% of the time, and loves to have fun.

She loves her sister quite a bit too.

I love her morning hair.

And her non-morning hair.

She loves to make faces, and is getting quite good at it.

And she loves to sing.

Love that girl.
