owen's blessing

The first Sunday in March, we had the opportunity to be present for the blessing of this cute guy (the one on the right, in case you weren't sure).

We drove down Saturday morning, and spent most of the day at Shad's grandparents house.

Avery could have spent all day in this saucer.

That afternoon, Sandi (Shad's aunt), treated our kids to their fill of fun at a place called Kangaroo Zoo.  Drake even gave her back the homemade coupon she'd given him at Christmas for it.

If you've never been there (this one was in North SLC), it's basically a big, huge room that's chuck full of inflatable toys.

Once my kids warmed up to the idea, they had a blast.

There were some pretty fun toys, too.

Graham was the first one to brave a big slide.

And he wanted to do it again and again.

Even the tall, steep one was no deterrent for Graham.

Avery, on the other hand, wasn't so sure about it.

These three are cousins and were born within a few months of each other.

And this one just wishes he could get on the toys and play.

Our kids loved it.

The whole gang loved it.

They definitely got a good workout.

Thanks again Sandi!

And now back to this little guy, Owen.

On Sunday we went to church with his family for the blessing, which was very nice.  He's a lucky boy.  Afterwards, we enjoyed food and mingling at his house.  His parents were great hosts.

They decided to do a potato bar, and it was delicious.

This is Shad's grandmother (on his Dad's side) with Owen.

And Shad's grandfather (on his Mom's side) with the cute boy.

Brandon's parents with their grandson.

Krystal's (and Shad's) parents with the star of show.

And finally, the main man Owen with his completely-thrilled-to-be-there big brother Spencer, and his parents, Krystal and Brandon.

Thanks again for letting us be a part of this special day.

The weight restrictions they place on those inflatable toys are completely unfair!

That's funny that Shad likes to play on the toys. Jordan was never too sure of the things, but it was all anyone could do to keep me and Jeff off of them! :)

You have really cute kids and I'm happy to see that they all get along so well.

Oh my goodness, our house is RIGHT behind that Kangaroo Zoo - well not right behind, but the road you turn on to get in the parking lot, our house is the 2nd one on that street!! We have never been there, but I keep thinking we should take the kids and let them have at it. Poor Shad didn't get to play :( Sometimes it's not so fun being the grown-up :)
