bannock county fair

I like going to local events: fairs, festivals, carnivals, etc., no matter how big or small.

This was a ventriloquist at the Bannock County Fair--youngest one I've seen.

This was one of the toads in the toad/turtle show.

Here he is competing in the high jump.

A turtle race.

A toad jumping through the daring ring of fire...

Nice lady making me fresh-squeezed lemonade.

Just one of the entries in just one of the many different things to enter something in.

The boys watching a model train.

Posing for mom.

Watching some of the events in the arena.

A neighbor of ours and his horse.

A grandkid of one of our neighbors.

Just having fun.

Well, the toad/turtle show (it had an official name, but I don't remember it) was Drake's favorite part of the fair. So he filled up a pool with some water, invited over any friends that would come, and put on his own show.

It was the Grasshopper High Jump. After the grasshopper jumped off his hand a few times into the water, I told him the grasshopper would probably be happy to jump on dry land for a while.

I love that Drake comes up with his own versions of things he hears and sees. It keeps life interesting.
